Kathryn Lynn Trammel

Kathryn Lynn Trammel is a microbiologist and nurse who has spent her life educating and helping others. After graduating summa cum laude with a degree in microbiology from the University of South Florida, she immediately went to graduate school at USF and earned a Master’s of Science in Microbiology. She graduated with a GPA of 3.84/4.0.

Returning to USF, Kathryn then earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing, graduating magna cum laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.84/4.0. Before and after graduation, Kathryn taught undergraduate laboratory courses in cell biology, microbiology, genetics, and general biology at the university.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Kathryn knew she wanted to be active in helping to manage and defeat it. She has been working tirelessly ever since as one of the leading researchers into potential treatments for the virus
